@The Fact, that is a poor excuse. When are you and all the other supporters going to stop with the lame and tired excuse of “well the PLP didn’t do it so we don’t have to either”. Shouldn’t the new government try to things that the old government didn’t do? Stop supporting wrong and encourage them to do what’s right.

First off, Congratulations ladies. You have done Bermuda and women’s football proud. It is shameful that the ruling government couldn’t send a representative to the airport to greet these girls and congratulate them for their achievement. It not about politicizing the event, it’s about right and wrong. Even if the minister of sports was busy and couldn’t make it, he could have asked one of the Senators to come in his stead. It’s not about scoring political points, it’s just the right thing to do. Thank you Senator Rabain and all the other parents, families and friends for coming out to congratulate these young ladies on their achievement.

Actually he was not there in his capacity as an OBA member. He does support sports and the youth but that does not excuse the current ruling government not sending a representative to the airport to greet these you ladies for their achievement. Shame on the government.

All they are doing is making this achievment a polictical statement. Of course the OBA member wouldn’t make a statement, he probably doesnt have the permission to. Teams have been coming home for years, successful and unsuccessful, but rarely did you see the old administration come out and support. Thats because they were already in “Power” and didnt care.

Congrats young ladies on a huge achievment. I wish you future success.
