They attacked Mr. Bean? I suppose they did but Mr. Bean has attacked them and with out the backing of proof, what is good for the goose is good for the gander. If your going to attack one party for being cowards they you need to do it for the other party as well or be viewed as a hypocrite.

Bearing in mind what some of these MPs did to Jennifer Smith, you are probably correct.
Bean is simply carrying out his master’s orders.

Clearly she felt that what he said was not something that as an MP or the Leader of a Party should have said shared it with those in her party to get their advice on how best to handle the situation.

Yes it was premeditated because as she said and I assumed, she did trust Mr. Bean. She thought through what might happen and acted accordingly I agree with what she did and I would have done the same in her position.

To find out what things are prohibited by the Act, you need to look at paragraphs (1) to (5). All of those deal exclusively with the intercepting of telecommunication signals.

There is nothing at all in the Act that prohibits the recording of any other type of conversation. If the conversation did not take place over the phone, this Act is completely irrelevant.

First of all Mr. Bean should have known better to release the information of another parliament’s personal business affairs. There was no need for that to be brought up in the house.

Secondly there is no excuse for the actions of Mrs. Outerbridge. If she needed to protect herself from the conversation she was going to have with Mr. Bean then she should have not gone in the first place. It was not as if she was summons with legal repercussions if she did not attend. She should have followed her first mind after she declined the offer. But since she rescinded her original declination and attended it does show deceit following the aftermath.

Thirdly for our premier to make a statement about this secret recording shows a flaw is his character. No matter if it is legal or illegal it is just plain unethical. This shows me and the rest of the world, that if I ever need to speak to him or any of his party members that I cannot be frank with him but need to watch what I saying. Just think how this precidence is going to affect our country on a global scheme.

Fourthly, both leaders had provided a poor example of how members should act within the house, and they both showed poor leadership skills in allowing their members to behave in any way, shape or form that was less then dignified.

That last meeting has showed me that Mr. Cannonaire & Mr. Bean are not ready to lead their party let alone our country. This has shown the inexperience of both political leaders and some of the party members, not only to us, but to the entire world since this has been recorded in our newspaper. My guess is for both parties to start from scratch, put experience leaders on the front line and groom their members of how political leaders should act accordingly.

I am totally disgusted with both political parties behaviors this term. Stop all the nit picking and start to address the real issues of this country. And if both parties cannot get this straight, then Bermuda needs to rise up and find another source that can.

Until Bermuda deals seriously with those two things, I don’t care about anything that one politician says to the other — it’s all fluff and distraction.
