It is said that the haters don’t realize artists like Jimmy actually create jobs for Bermudians including entertainers. Jimmy is here for a total of 3 1/2 weeks and we would love to keep the ball rolling with local entertainment but the availability of the good entertainers is the problem but I am more then willing to consider any act at RED or Bermuda Bistro . We have always supported local acts but has the public ?

As a local entertainer who is out there working full time at it, i can tell you that things are getting better. There is a LOT more support from bar and restaurant management this year and there looks to be even more next year. And the support from the local public – other than the false, childish rantings of “Coffee” – have been very positive in my experience. Red, especially, seem to be looking to increase their support of local entertainment.
Things are looking up, I think. It’s time for us to pull up our bootstraps, ‘cuz I think pretty soon, there will be more options than we have personnel of quality.

Rudy Dowling and Neil Virgil were running the bar … Neville was driving taxi for the most part .. You are right , those were great days ! I loved my regular Sunday visits . Welcome back Jimmy !!! What passes for entertainment in Bermuda nowadays ..Whew ..not good , not good at all , people strumming and bleating all over the friggin place .

Thought he left the Island permanently about 20 yrs ago to live in the states (FL)!!! I remember him at the old Henry-the-8th in S/Hampton back in the 80′s!! The Virgil twins were running-the-bar at that time!!

That’s when BDA still had a thriving *Tourist Industry* and Sonesta Beach was still in business!!!

Welcome back Jimmy . I went to go see a baby guitar strummer last week. A total waste of time . It was a grown man strumming a pint size guitar … I don’t get it !
