That’s a lie …’93 was a recessionary year . Airport operations and maintainance ran into the millions . As a matter of fact during Dr.Browns tenure Bermuda was ordered by the FAA to do some major runway structural changes to bring FREDDIE WADE up to current international standards .

The bar association is trying to protect the population from lawyers that have no or limited experience. Just as doctors have to compete an internship under the tutage of an experienced doctor. Unless of course Mr js would like to be the 1st patint

Yes, I had high hopes for him too. A strong opposition with direction would help Bermuda. Its a shame he decided to take direction from the medicine man. He needs to take a look back at the older PLP members that had class like Mr. Alex Scott, Eugene Cox, Jennifer Smith, Mr Wade, Paula Cox, The Listers to name a few.

Mr. Bean, raise your standards, take some positive steps and direction and show us that you can lead and put personal matters aside. If not step aside and let someone else step up. We need good leaders and a good opposition leader.

Do you have idea what these military bases paid? Very little. The US helped with the bridges and helped with essential services but their members lived on their bases, rented their own homes, had their own movie theatres, grocery stores, bowling alley and even McDonalds. You are grasping t straws.

Marc forgets that our heritage includes many races and cultures combining over the centuries to make Bermuda the country that it is today. His subtle hints at race and inequality are typical of his style of politics and racial sensationalism. It needs to stop. It’s such a shame that I’ve known Marc since high school days yet today I would never vote for him nor consider him the type of person I’d want to represent my country and its people.

I don’t know mate…we had a few good years with UBP…we had rent to buy housing and plenty offit,also when dey said low cost…IT WAS LOW COST.Ship!…..You could walk out your door in the morning …paint a roof….name your own price…there was work every where…the roads were paved,the bridges painted and maintained,you had a govt.that moderated cost of insurance and medicine….the struggle came when plp took de reigns…..de devil was on the loose!Satan walked the earth…de great deceivah!

especially like the part when Bean says

“lowering barriers to Bermudian entrepreneurship and creativity, examining any and all policies, fees or laws that hinder the ability of people of vision to create economic opportunities for themselves and others”

I was thinking the exact same thing when the Bar Council President stated publically on April 24th that the Council was gonna make recommendations to government to enact legislation to ‘set standards’ of post qualification experience before a lawyer can go into sole practice

if the current government were foolish enough to pass such a piece of anti-competition legislation one in particular which has been endorsed by a person who is himself in sole practice any future PLP government needs to have it repealed and further enact legislation directed towards bringing the Bar Council into the 21st century

not normally political but I would be minded to vote PLP moving forward on this principle alone
