In this case, because of the value of the vehicle, the manufacturer has been chosen as they will likely fix the bus expeditiously and they chose to fix it here in Bermuda since this is the final destination and also closer than that of shipping it back to Portugal.

Remember when a brand new airport fire truck was rolled over? The manufacturer flew in to assess the damage. They are the experts.

I hope this helps you understand why locals were not chosen.

Any hidden parts can also be quickly repaired…the buses are designed to be repaired quickly if the parts are there.
