@hmmm. Have you actually read the draft Bill?. If you did you will quickly realize that it is not a good thing for Bda. Putting the power to chop up Govt Depts (which the UK Act which this Bill is based on does NOT do but instead focused on Quangos) in the hands of a few private sector individuals is unprecedented and not good for Bda.

It’s at 3pm. There’s nothing like getting out if work two hours early and still getting paid.

Mind you if Fahys work permit changes go through there might once again be enough foreigners in the private sector to fund the bloated Public service wage bill without any job losses.

@SMH, what you said to coffee went right over her/his head??? Coffee is a typical Plp xenophobe, and hasn’t really learned the fact that other places already have had to learn the hard way!!!! Coffee has never once offered any kind of solution to the problems that his party created and now we have to deal with!!!! Coffee prefers to just light matches and keep throwing them on lighter fluid in the hope of total social unrest starts in the island!!!!! Sad really???

Sounds like a good thing for Bermuda. If nothing is done then there won’t be any money to pay folks anyway. It’ll all be paying debt interest.

Be a part of the solution and not part of the problem.

That’s good because it means that everyone understands the magnitude of our debt and the fact the current size of our civil service is completely unsustainable and if WE don’t make the necessary cuts, then our foreign lenders will. Simple fact. Ask Barbados what happened to them
