Because, there is still a far too many who would vote party, irregardless of party failings. The OBA has a core that will vote for them no matter what, but the PLP has more. Though while this trend is changing, for the PLP, they have a strong historical emotion that they use to whip their membership behind them and unfortunately too many that will allow them to be directed so. Until people stop voting party and ideology and start voting policy and politics, the PLP’s campaign of of high toned emotion will be tough to beat by the OBA’s more subtly emotion and higher tone of logic.

I don’t particularly care that he’s jumped from party to party. I don’t care about his employment history, his age, his skin colour, or whether or not he has a criminal history.

What I care about is the things he’s publicly said.
What I care about is that they weren’t all that long ago.
What I care about is that the PLP believe this man, with his publicly spoken violence-supporting beliefs, is a good choice to represent them.

I hope all PLP supporters take the time to consider this and what it says about the PLP in general.

This Election will be won on the issues. More so what the Current Government OBAubp have or have not done.

It will be won on if life for the average citizen is better under this government?

Are the Policies and Laws put into place by this government OBAubp in the best interest of the Bermuda people?

Has the current OBA govt better serving the Bermudain vs nonBermudians interest?

Are people better off today under the UBPoba govt or worst off?

Has this Govt improved our economy and provided any jobs to assist the average person?

Has the Govt held to any of its pre-election promises?

Has the current govt outlined a plan to grow our economy?

We must focus on the real issues, as this is what impacts the average person more than anything.

DO NOT BE FOOLED FOLKS, DO NOT ALLOWED THE PAID BLOGGERS OF THE OBA ALLOW YOU TO BE COME SIDE- TRACK with non-issues, but rather focus on what really matters….the “current practices and policies of the government.”

We must hold the government accountable to address the needs of all of Bermuda and not a selective few.

Wow…the PLP really are the UBP/PLP now…Wayne, Kim and Jamal..probably a genius level I.Q (if you add them all together.) After Walton Brown and Kim Wilson the intellectual pool gets pretty shallow in the Opposition…Bean isn’t dumb…he just says and does some really dumb things….but now he may have loose cannon Simmons to back him! Yup, suppose so. I think the PLP has missed an opportunity to show a new direction with their selection; or are intentionally showing they have no problem with their current one. Mr. Simmons has proven to be ALL that the anti-PLP people accuse the PLP of being?
If what he said was strong enough grounds for him to resign as PLP Party spokesman, why the hell roll him out? Maybe after hearing Dr. Browns last comments, he fits the bill.
Don’t really make sense? Also a slap in the face to #33 to be put in the position of supporting a candidate they I’m sure the majority don’t back his type of behavior.
