Any fifth grader can yell that was a lie.
Perhaps if the Government and the opposition would put forward s bipartisan bill to discover just where that $800+ MILLION of missing funds went, then some won’t be nitpicking over attempts to drove a Bermuda oriented economic revival. History proved that the former admin failed to produce any growth since 2009.

I tried to fly Delta to Boston with 2 weeks notice once, would have cost me over $1,100. The only time you get decent rates is if you book in advance or they are having a ticket sale. Also, rates tend to go up higher in November and December as it is a travel season.

PLP never published their records on travel to the public. We all know Dr. Brown travel a lot.

In the end of it all “We have to spend money in order to make money”

America’s Cup will bring people to island. Going forward the island would have put itself back on the map, with all the wonderful publicity we will get.

I am happy something is being done about tourism.

I am a young person and wouldn’t want weed to be legal in order to attract tourist….just saying PLP. Bermuda shouldn’t be known for that.

Not nitpicking because I think the AC is a huge win for Bermuda, but nearly $6,000 for a one-day trip to NY for two people is tearing it.
That’s nearly $800/nt pp and $1800 each on airline tickets.

Seems very steep, even for last minute travel.

The air tickets were purchased close to the time of departure, due to late notice of Bermuda’s successful bid. Check for yourself with the airlines. Both AA and Delta were charging astronomical rates for RT and one-way economy tickets around that time. There were few seats left on those flights, and they charge higher than normal fares because they can.

Indeed eleven million dollars was set aside to fund BERMUDAS NATIONAL CRICKET TEAM over a period of ten years . However because of the unquestionably poor performance on the INTERNATIONAL STAGE most of the funding REMAINED IN THE GOVERNMENT COFFERS .
Even with this knowledge I expect nothing less from the mendacious OBA crowd than to continue on with the cacophony of their imaginary truths .

I seem to recall that DrEBs travel costs, which the totals were published because an Opposition member asked, came out at something like $1800 PER DAY/365 days a year whether he was actually traveling or not.

He almost always seemed to be off the Island, jetting here & there with no visible return to the people of Bermuda for the funds spent.

What a difference! Dunkley has been on 2 trips in almost 4 months.

I believe Dr. Gibbons travelled alone and has a home in New York so he did not require a hotel. Also some of the numbers include technical officers that travel with the Ministers as required.
