Who hired Hanbury? It’s time to hold ‘them’ responsible for this abysmal failure. It’s not Hanbury’s problem either since he is simply selling himself. His lack of effectiveness is clearly noted on the resume … i.e. no related experience and no results.

This simplistic textbook approach to marketing is not working.

I support the the BTA initiative that includes the main thing we are noted for …our friendliness. However it must be said that we must include the taxi drivers as the real ambassadors. Because you never get a second chance to make a first impression.I am not a taxi driver but when arriving back on island I am always looking forward to the conversation from the airport to home. The visitors can and do experience the same but we must ensure they are first when possible in regards to arriving passengers transportation needs.A case in point some time ago ASTA came here and one would have thought that only cabs would have been used for their transportation requirements.The media reported that was not the case. I am encouraged that some time soon the BTA will fully include them going forward. Keep up the good work Bill ,Mrs Richardson and others ,I have faith it can be done . It really is about all of us.

Bermudians are loosing jobs, those who have jobs are getting paid less through wage cuts, wage freeze, inflation, competing with cheap foreign labor, qualified professionals being overlooked by foreign friends and family and you want us to walk around like Johnny Barns?

i am sure bill is enjoying his all inclusive vacation in bermuda…and with $295,000 plus a %30 bonus, free housing , transportation, and possibly food, i am sure that he can afford all of the best of bermuda[hopefully he is spending some of that here, although i doubt it...] enjoying all the tours, and restaurants, jumping off cliffs, and the likes, as part of his job, soaking our over extended deficit for all he can get. unfortunately, most bermudians cannot afford the high price tags affiliated with the ‘bermuda experience’, and have to spend their days, and sometimes nights, trying to make ends meet… leaving little, if any time to tour the islands hot spots etc.. and even less disposable funds to act as ‘island ambassadors’. of course, his [bill's] ‘compensation package’ makes it next to impossible for him to understand this, the plight of the average bermudian resident, making less money per year than what he is going to receive [if he hasn't already, that is] as a yearly bonus…never mind the poor and destitute, the unemployed, etc.. ‘so much more’? let’s be honest…everything costs so much more, more than almost everywhere in the world, and ceo’s make so much more, with salaries far surpassing the cost of living here, but for far too many of us, sadly this is not so…
