Sorry AJ but you are mis-informed.There is a separate category for point-to-point road records for 5K,5miles, and 10K. Please check the BNAA web-site for reference.

Great run, but the course is point-to-point and mostly downhill, so it would never be accepted as a road record of any kind. Road records must occur on looped courses, where the Start and Finish are within a certain (close) distance.

Running in Bermuda is way harder then runing in Florida. Bermuda hills take so much more out of you. When i run in Florida i fell like i can run forever. I was runing 10 miles easy then i when to Bermuda for a 5k in Feb and had such a hard time.

A national record can be set anywhere in the world.There is another category for the fastest times actually recorded on island.
