My husband was working and a lot of my friends and relatives either didn’t go or were off island and my daughter and I ended up next to a nice family who had quite the spread. I didn’t know these people from Adam but they hooked us up with a nice plate each-they had the works: fried chicken, potato salad, crab salad, tuna salad, etc. etc.plus dessert-it was so delicious and an unexpected treat because I didn’t expect all that at the parade; they really were prepared! They even hooked me up with a breezer! I need to hunt them down and mooch again-they really set us up! In all seriousness, it made me think about what it meant to be a Bermudian and showed that Bermudians really are good and sharing people.
