Lets face it….BDA drivers are not that good!! They speed – drive recklessly – take far too many risks!! I wonder how they compare to other Islands to the south!!

I witnessed this for 25+ yrs before I left for greener pastures!! And I have driven in the UK – Europe and the USA + held a CDL class “A” commercial license (Big Truck / 18 wheeler) in the states!! I do have a lot-of-experience – and those were my observations on the “rock”!!

It is what it is!! Thank God the speed limit is 35 KPH… LOL!!

I have had an uncomfortable experience driving up this hill in a Mitsubishi van in no particular rush to get to my destination, only to feel the tires skidding to get the vehicle up the hill. I lowered the gear and gingerly pressed the gas hoping I’d make it up the remainder of the incline. The van wasn’t loaded or very heavy but still, after reading the comments, resurfacing sounds to be in order as soon as possible!! If one is ascending the hill when the roads are wet in such a van, if you’re driving the speed limit, often there is insufficient momentum to go to the top. without the tire traction being compromised.

If you can slide from a standstill, maybe the road should be closed completely and reopened as a ski resort?

So so unfortunate! I can say that coming out of Robert’s Avenue onto Parsons Rd. at the top of that hill is extreemly slippery even if you are almost at a standstill you can just begin to slide if the roads are wet. So whatever happened they need to rectify the road area by resurfacing it as well as putting speed bumps there for those tempted to speed.

Spoke to grandmother, accident involved her daughter and grand-daughter, thankfully, they’re both home from hospital and Granny remains watchful today, daughter has facial cut and little one had bang on head.

I can truly say that, that hill has a good bit of oil on it. When it rains you can slide as it has happened to me on more than one occasion and once with a bike coming up the hill. Now I drive extremely slow off the hill when it rains. Dont know what it will take to sort it out though.

Up hill? I have gone sideways goin down Scour hill and Barnes corner where the “apparent” non skid surface is and still managed to re-right my van.

People come flying up and down that hill. It is very dangerous to pedestrians. I see a wall has been knocked down again by a large vehicle at the blue house on the left .We definitely need something done to slow down traffic. Maybe we need rumble strips placed especially by the homes on the hill. I hope and pray everyone is ok.

Oh give me a break!!! Two of my trucks I own are that exact truck and I drive one of them!!! Doing 35 KPH ” the speed limit” that would not happen!!! Just look at the damage on that truck??? That did not happen doing the speed limit!!!! This bleeding heart liberal stuff is pure nonsense!!!!

No matter how careful you are, that spot is very dangerous! Plenty of cars and biks slide out in that area when it rains! I would always avoid that spot but now that palmetto road is closed I’ve been forced to drive that way and I passed this accident today as well. I pray everyone is not seriously injured.

I hope all the pedestrians are okay. Sad to say, I’m not surprised that this has happened…I walk home from work almost every day; not every road has a sidewalk and I’ve been hit on the shoulder and the back of my head by car/van wing mirrors. I figure it’s only a matter of time before one of these jokers runs me over.
People drive too fast and too close to the walls to make it safe for pedestrians.
