I followed t he link and after a few wrong turns finally found the new rates…… Sorry did not write them down.
Lowest local going from 35 to 50. USA lowest to 1:15…….. Cannot remember zone 2 and 3 new rates.

I have a lovely post person, efficient and friendly. Just need to take a Valium before collecting parcels!

What many bloggers do not know is that the post office is not overstaffed. In fact, the post office is the only Government Department that has reduced its staffing by 35% over the past 5 years!! The post office has gone from 232 people in 2010 to 150 in 2015!! Still think it’s overstaffed? The post office is not overstaffed. Get your facts straight; otherwise you don’t know what you are talking about. This information is all available to the public.

When this government closes down home delivery and requires the Bermuda population to go to central clearing houses to pick up your mail which you will have to pay for; for it will not be for free. At that point there will be no more talk of a post office that is over staffed.

AH how wonderfull and they are still “LOOSING” $7Million dollars per year.
Time to PRIVITIZE and it will generate income for Government.
We have too much DEBT too little GROWTH and too many unreasonable promises made by the previous administration.

Actually, last week I received a parcel slip to my Paget P.O. Box and was told I had to collect it in Hamilton. Ya. That’s convenient.

Went to the linked site and no posting of new rates. Guess I will have to bother their overworked(!) employees to mail my post cards back to the US when I get there.

This is about as dumb as it gets…whomever is making these assinine decisions is trying to feed a dinosaur…what they should be doing is trying to bring it into the new century by streamlining in every way they can.

If they actually looked at revenue creation using all the unused space and employee capacity…god knows, they might be able to stay above water…and continue to employ people. This way, more jobs will go soon…..its called supply and demand
