Sounds to me like they are just taking advantage of the so called ‘recession’ to get rid of people.

Maybe those who were kicked out should pool together their redundancy and retirement packages and open their own appliance store. Using every ounce of assistance that the above spokesperson has offered.

Just a thought.

Belco is a monopoly with a very bright young-ish Chairman and a slightly greyer CEO but until they start realizing that they operate a monopoly and they can’t just sit up there in the plush offices and dream about big plans for the future. Maintaining the equipment is one thing but anything else right now is bringing pain to all of us. These people are pissing people off with the way they treat their Bda Gas staff and customers and their Belco customers asking for a rate hike …if they can’t figure out a way to be nicer and smarter…let somebody else try.

Mrs. Uddin, I am a shareholder but I’m also a human being. Your comment – no doubt dictated by your Chairman and his CEO, basically says “Thank you for supporting us and our shareholders over the past however many years…now go blip yourself”.

I understand the corporate mentality but I really wonder if all you corporate super heroes live in a real world …or do you just live for the piles of cash that you dream of. Do you care about the customers, do you care about your staff…one day it will all come back and bite you in the butt. I for one, will not buy nada from BELCO or any of its subs…except lecka lite power…ever again.

And the shares that I own…they’re in a charitable trust so I’ll have to keep them until some sucker buys them.
