Let’s be honest.
The whole thing is an honour in depravity and of non-existent Empires.
There is NO longer a British Empire. The awards are a relic and to accept them indicates that we are not about change or improving on the past. Simply put, there is no colonial British Empire so the Order of the British Empire is totally extinct. The British are laughing at us. And why didn’t the Governor get a Knighthood. After all he has been seen selling tags and visiting back of tarn. So while we relish these colonial awards, what do they really mean when the sun set on the Empire long, long ago. The people who were nominated deserve much more. They have truly done a great deal so why put this relic around their necks. The worst one of all is being called a DAME. Thank God nobody was named one this year. Especially those PLP types who would not allow their members to accept any when in Opposition yet were the first in line to get them when they became the GOVT.
