In which case the only vehicles imported would be from General Motors. OnStar is a GM-only product. And it adds a lot to the cost of a car. Think bore you write.

It was my understanding that some – maybe all – of these thefts involved family members or ex-spouses (or former girl/boyfriends) that had access to a set of keys. When vehicles were recovered – and they have been in all cases so far – there was little or no damage to them.

Well it would first involve getting a door open. Next finding the wiring under the dash which would enable the vehicle to start. Then finally someone would need to break the steering lock.

So I can only assume the keys were left in the ignition as I don’t think we have arrived at the stage where many people are skilled enough to pull off the above…..

How has Bermuda gone from practically no car thefts to over five this year alone. This is clearly an organized criminal operation and the police need to get to the bottom of it. As for blaming people for leaving keys in a car… Lets not play blame the victim here…

While it has not been mentioned in this report , or any others involving stolen cars , as to whether the keys were actually left in them one can then only assume so .

However , what does come to mind is , there are probably very , very few people left around who leave their keys in their vehicles anymore.
VERY FEW .

It would then appear that there are a lot of guys walking around continuously looking for those few cars .

Kinda discomforting if you ask me .
