Not all – several have found ways to thrive. Just need to get more of them into the more positive activities and ventures out there. That beautillion the other day was one example of young males showing dedication.

Although I’ll agree, it’s concerning that the young fellas when compared to their female peers, appear to struggle in the academic arena, and that has to be rectified at once.

Security guards are basically useless in situations like this, and the armed robbers know this. What is an unarmed security guard going to do in the face of an armed robber? In fact, they might actually make matters worse, attempting to do something seemingly heroic.

Alcohol addiction, abuse, drunken driving, bank robbery, jail time? Been there, done that. Before we start implementing fancy equipments in cars, and complex laws to curb crime and robbery rates, we need a system that can identify people who are absolute addicts and give them proper rehab. I was an alcoholic for 2 years until I was declared incompetent and put into rehab. All those 2 years, I wanted to get over the addiction, but kept slipping back. Drove drunk, attempted a robbery, got caught, got decalred incompetent , was put into an alcohol addiction program in calgary ( http://canadarehabreviews.com ). It’s been 11 months now. I often joke around that attempting a robbery was the best thing I did

Although others may disagree with you, I don’t. If somebody recorded footage on their personal cellphone and sent it out, that was a major security breach. The footage was making its rounds on Whats App before the police probably even had a chance to view it. There could have been info the police didn’t want made known publicly in the initial stages of the inquiry. If the person didn’t have permission to record and send it out, then I agree they should be fired.

Why? It could help identify the person. What is it about Bermuda that we’re so reluctant to put this kind of stuff out there? In the U.K., the first thing they do is release the CCTV footage to see if anyone knows the culprit and they have the same sub judice laws we do. Here it’s like we’re scared to say or do too much and then wonder why so many crimes go unsolved. Who knows-someone’s own mama might see the footage and turn them in!

@ Gd up I don’t give a rat’s A– , people can be fed up all they want, at no time is it worth putting the lives of others in jeopardy.

I just pray that this Is a serious lesson for the bank and that the staff refused to go back to work until proper security measures are put in place, and I call on the bank’s to put up security bullet proof glassing and at a height that no one can just jump over.

Also Mr. National Security minister and Premier please take extreme measure to put a police force in the old town RIGHT NOW! and I mean a Police force not a damn Police service.

I am thankful that all employees and customers alike were not injured in any fatal way, but the same thing can not be said as far as their emotions and what they have experienced.

close the branch down for the remainder of the week, give the staff the time off with pay, while taking the extreme measures of pulling all security measures in place.

We aren’t in a recession. There are no jobs because no one wants to come to Bermuda because we have become ignorant. When things were good Bermudians thought themselves to be better than everyone else and now it’s biting us in the . There is also nothing to do in Bermuda so people don’t want to come here. Also, governments to cause recessions. The banks caused them by lending out too much money to people who couldn’t pay them back. So stop blaming the government. Also, the PLP has caused all of the job losses that has recently happened and over the years for stupid spending. But everyone kept voting them back in. Now the OBA can’t fix it fast enough everything is all their fault.
