+1 for bait cars. After a few persons are caught, word will get around and car theft would go down. But then again, these kinds of operations cost money, and “we dont got none”.

If the cameras record to a hard drive you don’t need someone to watch them. Due to the lack of prosecutions they clearly don’t.

You don’t need all that stuff. Just take the keys out and lock the car.

Apparently someone in the Paget/Warwick area needs a ride from time to time, and they figured out that taking someone else’s car is better than taking the bus. Free gas, not having to pay for insurance, leave it somewhere when you’re done. Good deal.

Of course no-one is looking at every camera but, the nearest camera can be reviewed, (that’s if the info. is being recorded.)
How can so many vehicle be removed and then simply vanish? This just betwixt me

Uh oh , if I’m not mistaken I know that number well , and therefore I’m lead to believe that it wasn’t in fact at Riddell’s Bay public wharf but was on nearby private waterfront property .
Somebody definitely was not where they should have been to get their hands on this car as there would have been a whole lot of trespassing going on .

People need to secure their cars by getting car alarms, the lock for the steering wheel, clamp the wheels, put small cameras in the car which can be viewed on your smart phones all of these things and more are available here and on Amazon. But as Bermudians are they will do these things and tell everybody they have had them or have the equipment in the car pahleeze
