I agree, though, (if not mis-taken) this Act initially passed 2011 [Act in 2014 that required charities to vet their volunteers and to higher government fees passed in 2011.]

why impose it in the first place just to waive it off later? dialogue with the charities in the first place would’ve adverted all this. create the problem then offer the solution…

On behalf of countless others I thank you Premier Michael Dunkley for correcting this wrong: “Charities had expressed concerns about the impact on their operations of a possible $100 fee for criminal background checks on every one of their volunteers,” The Government said. “Their concerns arose out of amendments to the Charities Act in 2014 that required charities to vet their volunteers and to higher government fees passed in 2011.
