Why doesn’t the RA enforce current law. I’ve had Internet outages degradation both at home and work more than several times in the last two months.

The quality and consistency of service is terrible; even more noted now that we wholely rely on the Internet………….for everything!

There is no explanation or acknowledgement of outages by providers?

Gov needs to implement super Wifi(white space) that has a reach of 63 miles. this will push the island forward. cell phone companies need to be wiped out. the cost is too much for so little.

Actually, from what I understand, they only made one provider give up the portions of a frequency that they weren’t using. Before the RA, a provider was given all of the bands of frequency that Digicel and CellOne would need for LTE. This was done by the Ministry Of Telecommunications. So all the RA said was that if you aren’t using it, then you need to give it back or pay for it based on your future needs. But it’s in the best interest of the island that resources like spectrum are divided fairly based on a providers needs for it. Hoarding spectrum doesn’t benefit the consumer.

These guys make me laugh…. they take the spectrum from people that are using it (costing them money and time) so that they can “re-issue” it to another providor.

The RA are constantly taking from one providor to satisfy the whim of the other richer one…

forcing standards of service?? Got my votes , oh yes, all the local providers under the authority need to pay attention. The times they are a changin!
