Who said the culprit was young? Many individuals are hurting right now but this could possibly have been an addict looking for quick money for a fix and nothing more. Companies, home owners should be very careful with schedules and times coming and going and leaving a door unlocked even to allow trash dumping is taking a chance. Leave the bags inside the building until everyone is ready to leave everybody take a bag or bags and get out of dodge or take trash out throughout the working day but not on a schedule. Remember people are watching you.

Junky thinking Junk Yard Dog! How an earth can you question teachers and what they are teaching? I can tell you it’s not armed robbery! Education starts at home and is built on in school. Teachers are not responsible for the behaviour of grown men. Most people that go off the edge have had intervention throughout; you can lead a donkey to water but you can’t make it drink. Responsibility for children starts with parents, the wider family unit and eventually the young person themselves. There are some very gifted young people who have opted to go down the wrong path and some less gifted ones who have busted their butts to achieve. By the time you are an adult personal responsibility rests on your own shoulders! This is solely action & responsibility of this individual. Everyone that is broke, unemployed or desperate does not opt to pick up arms!

Also wondering why it has taken 3 days to release this news.

“We are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have any information, or who may have seen the suspect or this incident on Southside Road between 10.00pm and 10.30pm that evening.”

Duh, anything slightly unusual that I might have seen 3 nights ago would be forgotten by now, maybe you should be publicizing this in a timely manner and you might get a better response from the public.

Maybe the Police PR dept don’t work weekends.

Seriously, the police want our help but don’t feel we need to know about these things for a few days. Not impressed.

Junkyard dog your question should be what are we teaching our children at home. The home should be the place where the most important lessons are learned. While there is evidence that the present govt. is failing Bermudians, we as a community should shoulder much of the blame for the actions of our youths. Parents need to wake up and be parents.

What are they teaching our young people in our schools ?

Are some our young people being thrown to the wolves ?

Should some be afforded a further year in school, we all know that the last year is the hardest. That idea is a win win !

C.I.T.V. should take a higher role in the education of our students final year.

The trades need start an apprenticeship program.
