I invite you to attend the next honours assembly at the Berkeley to experience the level of academic excitement at the school.

Your post appears to indicate a level of negativity but I stand to be corrected.

Let’s collectively celebrate the achievements of our future leaders and avoid inadvertently buying into the narrative that public education is ‘less than’.

This is a great move forward acknowledging the international benchmark of 5 A*-C GCSE grades. – This would put approximately 85-90% of students on the honour roll at Bermuda’s private schools – very much hoping to see Berkeley (and Cedarbridge) heading that same way.

Just for shiggles…

Would someone care to compare and contrast a private school’s graduation requirements and the requirements to be on High Honours at Berkeley.

Spoiler…. They are the same.

I’m all for encouraging students but we really need to stop praising mediocrity.
It is time to be honest about what to expect from almost $300,000 worth of education from our graduates.
