@coffee, I think you have totally lost it now?? First off, why are you referring to triangle?? He is not even on this thread!!! Secondly, Sam Donaldson is a well know left thinking DEMOCRAT nut job!!! He is not republican!!! The bases were closed because BILL CLINTON a DEMOCRAT! wanted them close, Not President George H Bush!!!! So, once again I ask, why do the vast majority of Bermudians support the democrats??? @Triangle… As I said to you previously , it’ was one of your right leaning buddies Sam Donaldson who investigated the USNAS Bermuda and the same republicains under George H. Bush who ordered the only real military (defense)out of Bermuda .
That’s when the true cost of actually running a Independant Bermuda became apparent .

Yes I am for a smaller government, but I do believe In a defense department ( because I am right leaning) cutting government waste such as the way overbloated CS, to numbers that actually would be sensible for a population our size is a must for me and I can tell you I rant about the lack of will of the OBA, to cut the CS cost, when it comes to Min Cannonier, I am still on the fence with that one??? All I can say is, I was the FIRST one on these comment sections blowing my stack, the moment that flying in a private jet nonsense was revealed, I said it then and I will say it now, that was the STUPIDIST thing any politician could have ever done, when you consider we were berating the plp for years on that type of behavior!!!!!

That $120,000 figure is way off and misleading. You are referencing a mix pf part time and full time soldiers, all non-commissioned soldiers or warrant officers. Regiment pay is public information.

Yes the respect for a politician is personal, that is why I respect only politicians that look after our public purse, which Our PRESENT Premier does, the previous premiers from late 2012 and backwards, not so much??? And when it comes to the career soldiers, I say good for them!!! All nations should have people such as themselves that are willing to be prepared to protect their nations!!!
