It’s not “money over people”, (which is what the PLP did when it took all the money from the coffers and created an enormous debt so fast, it made your head spin.) It is money FOR the people. We need to climb out of debt so we can get the money we need for society. You know, building roads, providing education, helping the poor, attracting business (so we can have an economy, stupid). Try visiting some countries with no economy, and look at the desperate lives of the people there. That is what the PLP can bring you, and if they do, it will be your own fault.

“Money over People” would be a dreadful philosophy but that is not in any way the philosophy of the present Government. The fact is that far from having any money in the coffers our country has an enormous debt which is pulling down the aspirations and dreams of our people. The one and only way of steadying the ship is for our Government to work 24/7 to reduce and eventually eliminate that huge debt burden.

We can no longer spend what we do not have. We have to cut costs wherever possible and encourage investment in our country and in our people.

While the PLP is engaged in its internal strife, we have to move forward and deal with our debt. Make no mistake, the PLP would have to do exactly what the present Government is doing it’s best to tackle if they were to return to power. It is a complete fallacy to believe that the PLP would be able to continue its past lavish spending after the coffers ran dry.

I thought he (Marc) would have been smarter and kept quiet and stayed away from the lawsuits and part drama at least until after the Dev election. The ex-communicated membership of the of the PLP are presently very busy; Furbert and Burgess are championing Shelly Bay, Kim Wilson is representing female employment issues, and Zane Desilva is addressing employment and home ownership.

And yet what are the streamlined shadow cabinet doing? Absolutely nothing! It seems that the leadership and momentum of the PLP currently resides within its ex-communicated membership. Coincidence? I don’t think so!
