No doubt price is a deterrent. Agreed. But there are many reason the price of a Bermuda vacation is high — high cost of labour (BIU), high cost of energy (BELCO), high cost of construction materials (Duty), high cost of air departure taxes (Gov’t), etc.

Won’t we need the entire structure to take a haircut in order for the price of a Bermuda vacation to go down? And since when is this a jurisdiction of collaboration. The problem is not cost, the problem is us.

BERMUDA ::: AN UNHAPPY PEOPLE.

Bermuda needs to Brain storm tourism, its all about coat.

Let us just imagine that our new airport” Port Folly” is up and running I doubt that the numbers will change, Airports are not a drawing card and never will be.

Marketing our brand at a reasonable cost to our repeat visitors works and get the maniacs drivers of trucks; buses; and bikes off our dangerous roads also works.

How many time do I have to tell you a Bermuda Vacation is too expensive for the average family to come here, so they stay home cant blame them, can you ?

Their own country is our biggest competition at more than half the cost of coming here, now Cuba is coming on line.

While we talk politics we should be talking about Taxation trickle down which drives the the cost of every thing up to the breaking point.

Debt that has gotten even HUGER(sic) under your beloved OBA…My guess is that they had to do the same thing the PLP did… BORROW! We voted them in for change and things for Bermudians are far worse, enough that they (Bermudians) are leaving in droves… your beloved OBA had better find a way scrape up votes because they will have a very hard fall (I’d give them 9 seats) in the next election.

15% of our income comes from Tourism and 85% of our income comes from IB.
So where does your income come from Rhonda ?????
