He’s supposed to be a buffer person who makes sure the policing and government system in Bermuda doesn’t abuse their powers given to them. That’s what they are supposed to do but it doesn’t seem like they really step in when they ought to. I’m guessing that’s because it may cause a stigma in some cases of old colonial practices if they did.

Another part of the governors job is going through the paper work of the applications to be naturalized. At the end of the day they have the final word as to who gets to be Bermudian not our immigration department.

Why are you yawning? The amount of Pro Bermudian this and that you post and you don’t show pride in something that is Bermuda’s heritage.

OBA didn’t send them you twit! The governor did just like every governor before him for decades has. During PLP’s time they were sent also because the tradition has nothing to do with government parties. You’ve just proven why we need to be mindful of who we give citizenship to because some of you expats have no willingness to assimilate and expect Bermuda to bend for you. We need to wake up and see what bending for others has caused in Europe and realize that it’s not the way it should be. You either get in where you fit in or get out.
