Shame the people commenting here just cannot look further than their noses and actually see the benefits that this will bring to a bunch of young Bermudians now and hopefully into the future.
What difference does it make if they ask for locals to sponsor it or corporates. Get over it! It happens all the time – charities ask for local donations as well as corporate donations. Like I said, g.e.t o.v.e.r i.t

The perception is that this is a rich mans sport. Like the “sponsorship” required to go on the Sloop it is an outrageous expense. Which many kid’s folks jsut write a cheque for or get their companies out “sponsor”. Something for a major sponsor with an elite following perhaps. I certainly won’t be fundraising for this.

This is interesting. Millions of dollars to come from such an event but there is a NOW need for cash.
Interesting to say the LEAST.
Monies are already being regularly extracted from THE WORKING MAN’S TAX contributions.

I am confused- on December 30th, 2015 KPMG announced a $150,000 donation to the youth team. Has that gone by the wayside or does this team require $200,000 in additional funding – for a total goal of $350,000?

If it is additional funding, is there a budget available to see how the $350,000 is going to be used by our Bermuda team?

Please help me understand why this wonderful opportunity for Bermuda’s Youth is not funded by AC35, AC35 Sponsors or RedBull as a courtesy to the host community?
