As citizens of Bermuda we are all by extension and to some degree, customers of SISL. I can well imagine the character type who’d take issue with the “unwashed masses” being welcomed aboard and make such condescending remarks, though.

Looks like it was enjoyed by many… wish I had known about it!

That’s kind of funny cause if you think about it, just about everyone in Bermuda is a “Customer”. We are the ones that create the demand which generates most of their business….

It is always fantastic to see true nautical professionals imparting their knowledge to the uneducated public who generally call the bow of a ship the pointy end. I recall having to school niner3zero on that particular nautical term. I know Captain Emiel Koelhuis personally, having trained with him many years ago – he is a true professional having crossed the Atlantic many times during terribly rough seas. Good to see Larry enjoying a free vino!

I went to the open house and I heard a gentleman enraged by the amount of children and general public that had attended.

He was like “they made a big mistake and posted it to Facebook and this open house is only for the Somers Isle customers. The mistake on Facebook is the only reason all these people have come and brought their kids. These are not our customers. ”

I was quite offended by his rude remarks.
