Having raced in this event more times than I can remember, I know firsthand how thrilling and exciting this race can be. I’m sure there will be many a story told over a flute of champagne like the time my yacht hit a whale about 200 miles off the finish line. Thankfully the only damage was to my finger which was dislocated.

Dr Sherwin’s Nasty Medicine scored an incredible result in the last race, crossing the finish line 7th ahead of a number of multi-million dollar campaigns and won their division comfortably. Their crew will this time around be competing in a 84′ cruiser – Metolius.

Brian Hillier’s always-competitive Crossfire will be hoping for a better race this time around, and have put together a strong crew.

Paul Hubbard’s Bermuda Oyster is back in action, and of course Spirit of Bermuda will be up against “America”
