There was an RFP posted on BTA’s public website to find the executive recruitment firm, in the same place they’re always posted: http://www.gotobermuda.com/bermudatourism/About-Us/RFPs/

What are you talking about: “friend and family”. Does Hanbury have family in the search business here on Bermuda. Maybe the BTA should mail everyone copies of the RFPs when they are issued. Go to the dam website if you want to do business with them.

I saw the RFP. It was on the BTA website. In fact, I just looked again and although the RFP has been taken down, a response to questions from applicants is still on the website. Not sure why it would have been hard to find on the website, they put it on a page called Requests for Proposal.

I’m not sure if it appeared in other places as well, but it was the BTA website for sure.

I don’t recall seeing an RFP! One has to wonder how this could be awarded to Performance Solutions without fairness and transparency being involved for all to witness. This is truly a joke!

Personally I will miss Mr. Hanbury. Compared to where we came from his unique style and understanding of the Tourism market and how that relates to Bermuda has been a breath of fresh air.

He has put together an extremely competent (mostly Bermudian) team that are passionate about the success of our tourism product. He and his team put in countless hours week in and week out and despite what people say, he has been worth every penny and I am sorry to see him leave.

To all you nay sayers, don’t worry, you will get what you want and what you deserve.
