Geish ! Pension fund is not part of govt expenditure mr observer. It will be very dangerous to do that, if the total fund of 1.6 billion is 11 times what they ars paying out, thats a pretty good ratio warranting a 5% increase payouts. Minister even went furthef to say the cpf did well in investments . Its only fair that the pensioners benefit too. No need to view announcements on partisan lines. Give credit were its due.

I still see GP cars driving towards mid ocean! I see no accountability for the vehicles that are giving to government employees to fulfill their jobs, electricity ,and piped water just announced an increase much larger than 5 percent, these fools think that that people will vote for them because they consider themselves the lesser of the two evils ha! I will vote in a couple of weeks but never will I vote for some one who dangel’s the welfare of the hunted in front of the hunter.

I find it amazing that thr Minister of Finance has the creativity to find the money in this fiscal year to give a 5% increase to the pensioners. This is after months of saying that there is no money we are in a bad place and that we need to reign things back in.
IMO the 5% could be used to pay down on the outstanding debt that is looming and causing the ENTIRE island issues.

The best thing to do with cash is pay off all debt or lend so someone else can do the same . There is no return on cash right now and no where really to invest IMO..

If one has $10000 or less that is locked in they should be able to take it in one lump sum
Instead of leaving it locked in for the insurance company to use if you don’t know they can make up to
$3000000 of that $10000 in one. Year
