Until such time that we replace it with something that is progressive and truly representative of the people, the electorate will continue to disengage. If politicians are truly concerned about the state of politics on this Island and what the people think they will start the process of consultation and reform post haste!

I would be very interested in Mr. Hill’s definition of community consultation and if it involves the opportunity for all our youth to participate – something our current political leaders don’t do.

It will also be interesting to see how many young people participate in the non-binding referendum tomorrow. They may just see through the false optics of this very expensive polling exercise.
