How about the Auditor’s Report Mr. Burt? THAT is your remit.

We had some discussion at the last meeting about some serious financial mismanagement in relation to the Court Building. Between $13M and $26M million dollar overrun (a $13M grey area?) and a claim that $71M was spent on a shell. No further questions on that?

If you don’t understand the importance of the public’s right to know in such large PUBLIC contracts negotiations as this, then you really are unfit to be in a position to comment.

He understands the nature of NDAs, but he knows the average person does not. Hence the tactic. He just keeps repeating, in an attempt to make it stick.

Would have been nice to have seen a photo showing the number of those in attendance. I see lots of folded seats, so one can only assume, a much smaller venue would have been more appropriate.

Mr. Manders deserves a medal for such respectful composure. I’m sorry but the Chairman of this committee needs serious training in how to conduct questions without the tone of hostility and accusations. He’s rude and very condescending-clearly immature with no training in facilitation at all!!! I’m sorry but just because you speak with fluency, does not give you the right to be disrespectful, and demeaning. I would disband that committee for more impartial members who don’t have a political agenda….this is a circus of foolery!

Funny how he keeps demanding answers that cannot be given for understandable legal reasons (and if he doesn’t understand the importance of NDA’s in such large commercial contract negotiations as this, then he really is unfit to be in a position to conduct them), but has so far been completely unwilling to address the answers needed about the gross negligence/misconduct/mismanagement that went on in the Ministry of Finance during his tenure as Junior Minister. I wonder what he will have to say to the COI when he gets called there… and he should be called before them.
