The acknowledgement of Freddie Wade, was an exceptional event, not only did the panel tell many stories of his leadership, but of the fact that he was, a gentle and caring man for the people of Bermuda,

I commend shadow minister Walter Roban, and the rest of his team for putting on this important and educational event. Mr. Wade’s historical value, will always be apart of The history of this country.

L.F Wade was such an important person in not on the PLP but in Bermuda and it was his leadership that got the PLP to the brink of government. It was sad that he was unable to see the Party assume the government. One can only wonder what a Bermuda under Premier Wade would have looked like, no disrespect to Dame Jennifer. He undoubtedly would have played a key role in the PLP government into the 2000s.
This article of reflection is important as we should remember our leaders of the past who worked tirelessly to further our causes.

Freddy Who? These were the last words spoken in a conversation by Mr. Wade.And in fact ,true to life, the event came about ,at a party gathering, where the name Freddy was mention, and the reply was , ” Freddy Who? Two books written about his life , by Mr. Dale Butler , have not been widely accepted by the community. They should be in schools , and made part of the civic classes , and history classes. The PLP had 14 years to hihlight the life and times of Mr. Wade . He was a good man. 1998 was his turn, and he knew it.Had he lived, the first PLP Premier, would had been L. F. Wade.Freddy Who?
