Congratulations to the Sandys Middle School team that had this lucky experience. And thanks to Oracle Team USA and the America’s Cup Authority who want to leave a lasting legacy of sailing education for young Bermudians. I think every child in Bermuda should have the opportunity to learn how to swim and how to sail in the ocean that surrounds us. We should be proud of our sailing heritage and that Bermuda invented the fastest method of sailing…the Bermuda-rigged sloop.
