They basically say that the phones are banned and will not be allowed on the plane. Then they ask you to come to the desk if you have the phone. Most people will just stash the phone rather than volunteering to have it confiscated where they will never see it again.

Samsung should setup some kiosk in major international airports where it will swap out peoples old batteries/phones for the fixed ones. W
