Anyone that thinks I would walk away from a program I started and built to respectability over almost 15 years of work on the eve of this team being in a position to reach their highest height of qualifying for the 2018 Commonwealth Games then you know nothing about me, my competitive nature and above all my commitment to not only the program but more so to those players that have been in the trenches with me over the years. The talent available can do the job.

I was offered a position with terms, procedures and conditions attached. Some of those would have put me in a situation my years of experience told me couldn’t work and one would have asked me to enforce conditions the BBA don’t and I don’t do double standards.
I expressed to the IAC who report to the BBA president I could not accept the terms and they accepted that and walked away from the table.
