Pettingill has not been afraid to stand up, speak on the issue in Parliament and tak the mattter to COurt against his own Governmnt!! PLP largely supporting the religious group “Preserve Marriage” who are fighting int he Courts also.
Equal Rights and Justic will hopefully prevail!

What do you expect from Sylvan Richards ? What do you expect from Craig Cannonier (NOT ON MY WATCH) and what do you expect from the Premier who wouldn’t even entertain accepting the Petition for SAME SEX MARRIAGE?
The PLP are NO BETTER.
That is why we must find justice for marriage equality in the courts, as our politicians shamefully squirm and still squirm over Marriage Equality.

Politics in Bermuda is even more of a popularity contest than it is in most other places. This trumps no matter what is deemed to be the best thing to do , human rights or whatever aside.
The UK doesn’t seem to realize this yet as far as our jurisdiction is concerned.

No-one , PLP or OBA wants to touch this and is instead letting the courts do the work for them .

The OBA was elected to make decisions yet they don’t want to touch this one!

PLP- if you want to ensure your success in the next election, introduce legislation to provide rights to the LGBT community (assuming the upcoming Supreme Court case proves useless).

Somebody grow a pair!
