Sounds like we really need to privatise the trash collection. Get it out of government hands and let entrepreneurial Bermudians run it with the best equipment and the best people for Bermuda. If the company that wins the contract(s) can’t perform, they loose the right to bid at the next renewal.

I’ve never had a problem with my recyclables which was privatised under the PLP.

Trucks are short without parts and guys worked this week instead of going to the meetings. Get ya facts straight!!! If the so called higher ups paid attention and ordered sufficient parts in timely manners then they would not have so much overtime you idiot!! Tues only 8 trucks went out, wed 5 and yesterday only 2. How the hell can they do 12 runs a day without 12 trucks a day?? Question you should be asking is where is OUR tax dollars really going???!!!

They better not be paid overtime for picking up the trash on Saturday. I’m getting really annoyed at having my taxes wasted.

Saturday!! Is the gov paying workers overtime for this??? If they are that would be double time. A waste of taxpayer money and rewarding people who downed tools and disrupted services.

cool so they collect overtime to compensate for the lost wages from being on strike? interesting..
