It is set out in our Constitution, unfortunately. It is found in the way “belonger” is used in the document. It is not easily changed and needs to be redone in a full Constitutional conference.

So they are seeking to stop discriminating against women, but want to continue discriminating against men who they may want to conscript and women married to a foreigner, for a while at least.
