I dont condone the pepper spraying but certainly the arrest of many of those pushing and cursing on the front line. Instead of pepper sraying, handcuffs and arrests should have been made on the spot. The video clearly shows aggressive blocking of Parliament by a mob including irresponsible PLP Ministers. The acts of those in the video is wrong any way you slice it! Whilst Sylvan Richards expressed what he felt towards one PLP representative, I don’t believe he was making a blanket statement about everyone in that crowd. But frankly, those elderly persons, should not have been in that unruly disrespecting group. So was the loud cursing and shoving okay for the elderly?

I wasn’t there. Some of have to work for a living. But, I saw three video clips that were passed around and people were not just “standing in place peacefully”! They were blocking the house, refusing to move, uttering threats, swearing and more. They were asked to move, told to move, warned and then pepper sprayed. It is unfortunate that people that like to call themselves “the government in waiting” would encourage seniors to even be in that position when they knew that the police were coming.
