Have you looked at Bermuda’s age distribution? Bermuda is not that many years removed from an aging population with no young workers to contribute to the tax base of the country. Without immigration, the burden would be unsustainable. Bermuda needs new citizens.

Any Bermudian can move to the UK at any time and have a vote there. As long as we stay in Bermuda, we do not have a vote in the UK (or the US or Canada or any other country). Why does that surprise you?
