That’s a load of crap, court street has been on the road to ruin since 1999, nothing was done then so why should it be different now? I left hanging on there 2000 , the caliber of youth has been deteriorating rapidly, and I don’t expect it to get any better whomever is in power!!

The PLP has always looked the other way at what is going on in the neighbourhood. I’ve witnessed it and I’m sure you have too. Many including two former heads of the Police walk out of Alaska Hall regularly and turn a blind eye to the drug dealing, public intoxication, and even prostitution.

The POLICE have a part to play in keeping Law and Order!! Unfortunately, many of them are not fearlesa and allow many misdeeds to slide because they can’t be bothered to deal with it. For example, just as simple as unwilling to officially investigate a traffic accident where Due Care and drunk driving was involved simply because they do not wish to write a report. Pathetic Police Officers, not all but quite a few.

Clearly you must be living under a rock. Court Street has ALWAYS been where the lowlifes hang. The PLP tried their little Economic Empowerment project to make Court St appealing to business owners.

NONE of the people that moved to Court St during that period are still there. Most people complained that their customers felt intimidated coming to the area. Furthermore, what does CCTV have to do with the fact that these a**holes are recording and posting their videos on social media as if its BFV (Bermuda Funniest Videos).

Politics has nothing to do with the mindset of these losers.

Outbreaks of violence are becoming more and more frequent. The police very seldom walk the beat, a physical presence needs to be all thru the city and they need to be on foot. This particular crime may have lasted 5 minutes, no doubt it would take a few minutes to get all available officers to the scene. Folks are bold, folks are brazen. Money has been made available for Americas Cup, but the police budget has been trimmed over the years. I don,t know what sparked this incident…but we surely know during Americas Cup such behavior will be clamped down quickly. It looks like more tax dollars will have to come from somewhere. No doubt Chamber of Commerce and the West End Development Corporation will have such a matter high on their respective agendas at their next scheduled meeting. Some of those already in prison, and have come to realise their mistakes, wish they could talk to the youth who are involved in destroying the economic and moral goodwill that this Island is known for.
