I’m sorry. You can call it witty/sarcastic/joking or whatever. The fact remains, the speed limit is 35 kmh. You do not do that type of damage to a car by “accidentally” speeding. It’s not being insensitive. It happens. People make stupid choices. Was I there, no. Do I know what happened, Uhh, I have a rough idea. Was there a mechanical default which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, perhaps. So, if the latter is the case, explain why the damage is so significant? Was he driving in access of the speed limit? You know the answer to the question, but you’d prefer to have a dig at someone who points out the obvious.
I saw the driver earlier in the night and I and this doesn’t surprise me.

Everyone needs to shut up about the speed limit, which was made in the 1920s for HORSE AND CARRIAGE, whose top speeds were 22mph… Now a century later, which automated vehicles on tarmac roads, instead of hooves on sand, you would think enough evolution in consciousness and IQ would have developed in the politicians here, to facilitate a more appropriate speed limit for our modern island. When you closed-minded ppl decry our speed limit being exceeded, you only demonstrate just how un-evolved you are. Perhaps you should all go in a time machine back a hundred years and mount your horse and carriage to work, and as you trot along at 22mph on the sand roads, THEN your unfounded feeling of PRIDE can have some real merit. Otherwise, welcome to evolution, chumps.

like the rest of them who populate our island, who all accuse everything upon the speed and breaking the speed limit. A car could have HIT THEM at that speed, or CAUSED them to swerve and TORQUE could provide the FORCE needed, instead of SPEED. So all you wanna be intelligent people out there (like most politicians on both sides) can wise up.. One day it may be YOU in the car or on the bike, and you may NOT have been speeding, and how would YOU feel when all the narrow-minded fools come out and ACCUSE you of doing something you weren’t? JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED……or does that not apply to you? I speed all the time and never got in one accident which was my fault or caused any. But almost EVERY accident that HAPPENED to me while I was going slow and was caused by some idiot driver who cannot drive. NOT my speed. Smart people can drive smart fast speeds, only the retarded special people need to drive the speed of a horse and carriage. Any other civilized country has a speed limit of 80 kph on roads like ours. ISLAND OF FOOLS THIS HAS BECOME!

This is why we have the problems we have in this country-we bury our heads in the sand instead of having real discussions about things. We need to get real sometimes. If you want to play around with your own life, fine, but nobody rides/drives on these roads alone and no-one else’s life should be jeopardized when someone doesn’t adhere to the speed limit. If people’s feelings get hurt, too bad, this is real life-it’s not a game. Using your rationale, no-one should be taken to court because they’d be ‘judged.’

Testy. When I first saw the pictures my first thought wad oh God I hope there is no serious injury and then I thought you don’t incur that level of damage doing the speed limit. Truth however insensitive is still truth. Love your child enough to bore them over the benefits of doing the speed limit.
