I’ve been on Caribbean cruises and people are left once the door is closed. These people then have to fly to the next port. The local captain must have seen them running. Remember: The only times a ship will wait is if their guest are on ship purchased tours or accidents /sickness.

I’ve been on a couple of cruises and was always scared to be late for the cut off cruise time. I’m glad they were able to get on.
