People are living longer and need to remain productive to both society and themselves. Forced retirement is so old school it’s time for it to be pushed back to 75 or done away with entirely.

Dr Shultz has been a gift and blessing to Bermuda and even though his retirement might well be deserved, he should decide when his time is up. I also suggest that after 40 years of service to Bermuda in such a demanding position an OBE is most deserving.
