Dredging of the north channel was not for AC. It was for larger cruise ships. Land was reclaimed in the south basin for AC. Material dredged for the north channel was used for this but most was brought in by ship.

No channel was dredged specifically for the Americas Cup. The north channel was dredged for the cruise ships – specifically to allow for the Quantum class cruise liners. A simple Google search would have easily told you this!

Evening – our understanding is that the Department of Environment & Natural Resources as well as the Department of Planning, are part of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The Ministry of Transport & Regulatory Affairs has the Department of Energy. And the Department of Waste Msnsge remains with the Ministry of Public Works.

I’m excited about the environmental initiatives proposed by our new government! Questioning which portfolio the environment will come unde. Surprised Greenrock didn’t mention that.
