That is nowhere near the interest payments that the PLP lumbered Bermuda with to buy, build and pay for things that were ALL overbudget, late and who knows what else in the future?

The airport may yet be cancelled when the PLP get their fingers in the pie, more penalty payments and interest to pay on the loan they will have to take to pay it! Stay tuned there is worse to come in the next 5 years!

You do realise that we are paying $30mn a year for 30 years to Paget Health Services for a hospital wing right?

Why are they still awarding contracts when the Government has said it will pull the plug on the deal? This will only cost us more in the end.

Onion Juice, how was the PLP going to get us an airport. You cant say they didn’t feel we needed one because they came out with their own aiport plan, or have you conveniently forgot. Remember the one that they was budgeted to cost much more! Remember now? You know that one that fell thru the cracks after all the consultants, architects and other got paid for just before someone asked the question, “how are we going to pay for it”? That is when it got shelved. The OBA found a way when the PLP couldn’t execute their own plan.
