Chrome plating a rusty car is the same as trying to make a 100 days look good.

Is this an attempt to hood wink the people into thinking all is well and progress is being made.

Smoke and mirrors does not improve the economy.

Why you may ask ?

What is the one thing that hurts both rich; poor and all those in between ? TAXATION.

You wonder why business tries to reduce the wage burden costs only to feed the hungry dragon .

Government has yet to learn to respect the value of the peoples money.

We have no reserves,we haveTaxation paying interest.

Why are my tax dollars going to debt service and redundant programs.

Living in the future under a cloud of debt , is not progress .

This Money Cancer debt that eats away at our society can only be cured by attracting a greater variety of business to our shores.

Why don’t they anchor cruise ships off Horse Shoe bay for all the good it does for our economy.

They sleep on the ship.

They wine and dine on the ship.

The beach sand is disapearing.

We need to give the day trippers a good reason to stay.

We can only market or RENT what we have.

Here is one possible solution rent Bermuda Holiday Homes B.H.H. every body wins .

Give the power back to the people for without us, Government has nothing .

Know this truth the more they have the more they waste.

Definition of renting: It is the same as having your cake and eating it.

It’s getting a serious overhaul. Keelhauled.

Every single business that they pampered just prior to the election before last bottomed out. Start from St George’s and work West. This is incredible, but hey always remember July 38th. 34/2. They can and are doing whatever they feel like. And oh are they laughing at you! I get a, real chuckle outta that.

This is so great an idea (not). Go to the bank and borrow (if you can) at 10% with a loan guarantee from the Government. Pay a couple of months then default. The bank gets their money back from Government then the Government goes after the borrower. After many years the Government wins and gets the balance of the loan plus the reduced statutory interest rate (thanks to the PLP) of 3.5%. A win for the borrower and why the banks won’t lend money.

Who decides who gets a loan? Who says “oh we forgive your loan because you had a bad idea”? Who says okay faith based tourism did not work we forgive you? Sorry to always be the pessimist but we gotta watch every penny ’cause money don’t grow on trees just like busses and honest politicians.

They have helped thousands of businesses? Okay perhaps they have. However, since this program has been in place since 1981 we should have data in place to show that of the thousands of business that have been helped, “X” amount are still around today, “X” amount lasted more than 5+ years and so on.

I for one, am tired of being asked to give more just so others can give less and take more. Don’t get me wrong, I believe this program needs to exist but needs a serious overhaul.
