My biggest disappointment are the images of the proposed casino. Dull, dark and uninspiring. Completely the opposite of the colour palette of Bermuda.

Maybe there is some psychology behind it. Remind people where they are and they might go outside and enjoy the beauty of the island instead.

I agree Kathy. This will really tarnish the image of the hotel. I mean, imagine bringing the “Crown and Anchor” scene from Cup Match into the hotel. Not a good idea. I won’t be patronizing HP any more.

I am really disappointed in hearing about the legalization of gambling in Bermuda. I always looked at Bermuda as the clean, classy, friendly island. It was never like the Caribbean islands. It was unique and the people were warm and welcoming. What a shame that the island and the Princess hotel have caved in. Very sad!

I am sorry, but I am DEAD against gambling in Bermuda. It will only create more social issues. Don’t we have enough already. We need to:

1. Ban Bermudians from entering
2. 75% of proceeds should go towards education

Let the foreigners gamble in the hotels and let them gamble on the cruise ships. We don’t need any more problems in our society. Anyone from the gaming commission take a walk down through Atlantic City, NJ lately?

It brings more drugs, more prostitution, more crime to the immediate area. I am surprised the hotel hasn’t suggested itself to keep it only for foreigners. Do they want riff raff walking through their nice hotel?

Cool. You know who gambles the most right? Same ones who gamble everyday but only tell you about winning once a month. I am all for it but I don’t gamble. If you tell a local he/she cannot go look out. Thank you plp for making this happen and creating jawbs. Hahaha! Judging by de election we got a lot of gamblers here-you know, de ones who only win once in a while.
